Cool Jet Hot Exhaust coating.

I bought an extra set of header pipes for my 1987 K75 on eBay for $20+$20 shipping.
Jet Hot exhaust Coating is located about 15 miles from my house, I drove the header pipe down to their headquater, they took my contact info., two weeks later these show up on my door step.. Now it's time to put on a set of shiny header pipes... even the inside of the header pipes are coated.

I'm interested in how they stand up as mine look pretty bad at the moment. My only reservation is the coatings are designed to withstand high temperatures, but when water gets splashed over a hot header you'll get rapid contraction/expansion of the coating so let us know how the coating and finish are holding up.

Cool

I don't ride much in the rain.. even if I do I could care less about the exhaust headers when I'm riding in the rain, I worry about staying upright on two wheel more.

I've had similar finish on the header pipes of my 1989 Honda CB-1 since Oct. 2003, some 13,000 miles ago. I've ridden my CB-1 in downpooring rain, salted roads, dirt/gravel roads, nothing seem to fade the finish of ceramic coated exhaust headers.

Besides, I've got two sets of header pipes now, if it does go bad because of water, I've got another set of headers to put back on.
