'04 KRS/GT sidestand
I found something yesterday on my KRS that I am sure that many of you know.
The chamfered hole that is used to lube the sidestand is useless. I was unable to force grease into the sidestand using my (made for this port) hand grease gun which I have used in my previous K100.
I disassembled the sidestand and found there was NO hole in the bushing to allow grease to get between the bushing and retaining bolt. And the fit between the bushing and sidestand was too close to allow lube to work around the bushing.
The ONLY way to lube the sidestand properly is to take it apart, nothing else will do it right.
I used Honda Moly60 left over from my spline lubing days. If it's good enough for driveline splines, it's good enough for a sidestand.
