K-100 Got into a problem replacing the brake pads. Need help please

Hello everyone.

This afternoon ( and it is Saturday ) I replaced the rear brake pads on my K-100LT.

One of the 2" pins that hold the pads snapped and borke while I was hammering back in. I guess something was holding it from going back in. The first pin went in all the way just fine.

I need to buy another pin and tomorrow ins Sunday so the dealer is closed. Does anyone knows if these pins are standard and I can buy them from a regular automotive shop? My BMW dealer is 50 miles away and I can't go there until next Saturday so I'm trying to find a quicker solution.

Thank you for any halp.

An 8-32*2 1/2 bolt and locking nut and the one stock pin should last you for a week.
Do you still have the spring and small pin that goes in the center of the pads?

Brucheca,

That's actually a good idea. I' do have all other staff, center pin and spring so i should be okay. Thanks a lot for the idea.
