Exhaust System

I'm replacing the exhaust system on my 2004 K1200GT and would like some info. Is there a correct way to install new copper gaskets (split side against the head or manifold)? What is the correct torque for the manifold nuts? Any other things which I might encounter and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

I don't remmeber way. It was to long ago that I started doing mechanics 1965.

But the solid side of a gasket seal goes to the most solid of the two peices that you are going to seal.

24 Nm.
