dead shorted bottom of ignition switch to the frame

Please help I was working on my 1986 k75 adding a new switch for an aux. item, the bottom cover of the ignition switch fell off. As I bent over to pick it up, like a dummy. I dead shorted the now open underside of the switch to the frame. I now have no power to the ignition or instrument cluster the clock is still working though. Please help! I am leaving Thursday for a long ride with friends that was planned over a year ago. diar-straights.
