Ohlins preload adjustment and rebuild?

I got a used Ohlins set for my K12RS. The preload adjustment for the rear shock doesn't seem to do anything, and I can't Google up a link that describes how it should feel/work, or common problems they might have.

Apart from that, it's the off season, and I'd like to send the unit back for rebuild and a spring change. Anyone done this? Do I send it to Ohlins USA, or find a local dealer (and would they do the work, or just ship it themselves?).

Tx!

Use Google or Dogpile to do a search on Ohlins. A lot of
shops that sell Ohlins will also rebuild them. I had mine done
locally for about $75. or $100 each, plus parts. Seems I paid about
$275 total.

I used the good folk at MPH Computrack in Hudson, Oh.

Kevin-
Your post is a good example on why members should fill out their profile. Where do you live?
In Calif. there's a few good shops that rebuild Ohlins, but if your back east you may find someone closer to you to do it.
