KRS Handlebar holder

Anybody have their handlebar holder to fork bridge bolt fall out? This is the one the comes up from beneath the triple-clamp. I started out yesterday and found it odd that my right bar was wonky. It has a fair amount of friction and can steer without the bolt but clearly this isn't safe. No locktight is recommended by the manual. Just a heads up to check it once in a while - 9 nM.

I think I decided on 10 Nm for this reason. It never felt like a real bolt being tightened. The advice is make sure you always carry the key that fits. Steering with both bars loose must be tricky!

Does that bolt actually enter the bridge or is it like a set screw?

That's a good question that I can't answer. Surely if it falls out , the corresponding bar can pivot around the top of the fork tube. I have to say that when it happened I was hopping mad at BMW for having shoddy assembly practices.
