#1) Get a Haynes manual. It is available at any BMW dealer for $25.00. You must have this before things get very expensive!!

Before you start pulling the starter, check all wire connections and ground connections. Corroded connections are a problem with this series bikes(both the K75 & K100).
After that it could be the starter or pitted relay contacts(doubtful).

What happened to the motorcycle before this all started?

k75 no start

hello all -
here's a summary: mc was running fine, mostly used on weekends, until i tried starting it with a weak battery, as expected (didn't know it then) welded the contacts on the starter relay, i freed the contacts, checked other things, (ignition sw., starter button, all ok) put everything back, bought new battery, made sure it's charged (voltage, electrolyte ok),now the starter motor barely turn, headlight, instrument cluster ok... any ideas? thanks -

Well, I guess after you put a new starter relay in it, you can go from there if anything else is needed.
