brakes, cruise & caution.

One day all is OK the next, as I leave my drive, I tap the brakes and the caution light comes on. I pulled over and restarted, all is OK... a couple of miles later I touch the brakes again and the light comes on.

I checked fuses and inspected pads on the side of the road, fluid levels OK...etc. Servo's sound OK..maybe a tiny bit of gurggling after a couple of seconds.

On the way home, I hit the cruise,...nothing..the cruise has nothing.

Any ideas folks...I did a search but couldn't find anything like this?

Gray haired bikers don't get that way from pure luck.

Check/replace the brake lamp.

Holy CRAP...it was the bulb!

The person riding behind me obviously wasn't watching my brake light.

Cool rear brake pedal

While we are talking brakes, someone tell me how much travel is normal for the rear brakes? I recently flushed lines added stainless steel cables and installed new rear pads--Yesteday on the way home from an air show I seemed to have a lot more travel to the rear brake than I was used to--fluid looks normal---I was wearing different boots than I have been riding in?
