Rick Mayer custom seat for 2006+ K1200/1300GT *SOLD*

For sale is a complete front and rear heated seat for a 2006 and later K1200 or K1300GT. It is built on stock heated seat pans by Rick Mayer. It is covered in black leather and is in very good condition. They were used for about 3000 miles and have been packed away for the last 3 years. Pictures on request. I will try to update this listing with pictures soon.

I would like to get $300 plus shipping for them

If interested PM me.

Just to let a prospective buyer know the facts. I also have a Rick Mayer seat that I put on my 2007 KGT and then moved it to my 2009 GT. Thousands of miles later and my butt is always good after the ride. Whoever gets one, should consider themselves very lucky!

I inspected the seat and it is perfect except for a very small – less than 3/16” almost imperceptible mark at the back of the top surface of the front seat. It probably will come out and it doesn’t show up in the pictures.

If you look at this picture http://www.prades.net/k1300gtseat/IMG_1435.jpg in the lower left, you can barely make it out. Otherwise the seats are perfect with no signs of wear or damage of any kind. They were always treated with Skidmore leather conditioner.

All of the pictures are at:

http://www.prades.net/k1300gtseat You can click on the thumbnail for a picture, then click on the picture for a larger version.

The seat was made for 6'3" 275# 33" inseam rider.

I've had his seats on many bikes since 2001 and you're correct, they cannot be beat. Even my R1200GSA has one of his seats. Many, many 800-1000 mile days over the years.

The seat pan looks different from the stock seat on my '07, but you say you switched yours between the two models so I'm probably mis-remembering. Let me look at my bike just to"trust but verify" amd I'll let you know tomorrow. Looks brand new!

I meant my 2006 K1200GT. My bad, But the combo of any given year uses the same frame catches and plugs. The 2007 seats were a little different from the 2006. You just cannot match a 2006 front with a 2007 rear or vice versa.

For those with 2006 K1200GTs I have a Vinyl Rick Mayer seat in excellent condition that will match with a stock rear on a 2006 (and I thought a 2007, but if the above post is correct, maybe not), or with a Sargent rear seat for a 2006 to 2010 K1200 or K1300GT.

Very comfortable seat. Rick could cover the rear to match if you care.

PM me if interested.
