:I need your suggestion on a new Bike Selection.

Hi All.

Today I'm riding a normal sports Bike and I am going to be buying
a new and Advanced sports bike from the BMW Brand in a few months.
I'm Confused between two Models of BMW bikes and I want to know if anyone has an Opinion on either.

- BMW F800ST

- BMW R1200RT

I would appreciate anyopne’s input on past experiences with these Models of BMW.
Can you also let me know about the Perfomance, Handling, etc.

Thank you

I've rented the R1200RT for a couple of week-long trips in the San Francisco area and think it's a very good bike but completely different from the K1200GT I own. First, the boxer motor makes plenty of power but it's not as powerful as the K (new or old version). Also, the RT is very comfortable for all day rides but it's also quite heavy when packed with luggage and passenger. I found it to be a handful on tight, twisty roads. If you want a bike for purely touring and high-mileage days then it would be a good choice but not everyone may like it.

Well, they are different bikes starting with displacement. If you want a comfortable bike for long trips the RT is a great bike but you have to like the boxer twin feeling. If you drive sport bikes, is likely that is a 4 cylinder bike, smooth and fast with high RPM's to get the power, Very different from a twin. If you want the same feeling as your sport bike with touring capabilities then look at the GT, power high RPMs with plenty of tork. If you want a touring for long distances at luxury levels then the LT, need to be able to handle the weight but is the best light truck I had . Best go get a test ride on all and stay with in your capabilities. Good luck

Ya know, I have to ask...even though I highly doubt you're going to answer.

What is it you're really looking for? You are part of a motorcycle rental company in Spain that specializes in BMW motorcycles.

Last thread you started we told you...you're looking for a GS motorcycle based on your criteria. So, what's the deal this week?

How about if he gathered up a bunch of Bultaco Matador's! I would go for that!!! Be like an old Edison Dye tour!
