Question Oh no - not my NEW RT?!:

El Jeffe - I am picking up my new 2008 RT on Monday, July 14. What else should I know about this recall before I turn over the $s? (My serial # ends in ZT12217.)

Thanks!

Ask the salesman if there's a recall for the EWS, and if you bike is one on the recall list. If they're clueless, check with the service manager. If they're in the same mindset, tell them your friend got a recall letter, and that's why you're concerned, that perhaps they can check their database.

Beyond that, without a copy of the recall notice, there's not a heck of a lot you can do.

I forwarded El Jeffe's...

...list of serial numbers to my dealership's owner. (Pam at Sill's Motor Sales near Cleveland). She promptly emailed in return that "it's been taken care of". So I guess all is well.

Thanks!
