OMG! The new R1200GS Adventure

If there was a bike to mess up my plans for the K1200GT, this one is it. I got to see the R1200GSA up close and in person. The bike wasn't made hot yet, so I couldn't test ride it. But the fit and feel is almost like being on the LT. That big wide tank and the position of the handlebars makes me feel just like I was on the LT. The seat isn't quite as confortable, but darn close. Almost has me thinking....

I just picked one up. I have to say I am impressed.
I suppose if I show up in Red River on it next week, you guys are gonna run me out of town!
Look for me in front of Starbucks. And then in front of Starbucks in Cabo in September.
( actually, I've never even been to Starbucks ). I just have this feeling that this thing is going to work a little better in the dirt than my K12>

Cheers.

Congratulations on the new bike. I'm sure if you show up you'll be welcomed. Last year there were KRS's, KGT's, KLT's and I'll bet this year we also see KS's and KGT's so what would a GS hurt?

Come on down! The more the merrier. Just make sure to add your name to the list in the thread. That way, Ken and Rango can bring enough food for the burger fry in Friday and the brisket on Saturday.

I will probably do 1000 miles of (hopefully) hardpacked dirt in CO, Utah and Baja. But could wind up with 3-4K on pavement. How do those tires do on paved roads. These Michelens are LOUD at 80-90MPH. Thanks.
