Need Dealer Recommendation in AZ

As part of a 4 wk, cross country trip, I will be looking to get a new set of tires installed on my 06 K1200GT when I am in the Flagstaff/Phoenix area. Can anyone give me some recommendations for a good BMW dealer in that area. I will contact them beforehand, and try to set up an appointment. Thanks,

Don Goldberg

Don

The BMW dealer in Scottsdale treated me real good when I needed some light duty warranty service while on a trip!

Dealer's

Whatever you do stay away from Victory BMW In Chandler. I speak personal experience. I don't know much about Scottsdale BMW but Ironhorse BMW In Tucson is rated the number one dealer for service in the country and after dealing with them I can believe it.

Hi, Don,
If you want to save a buck and know it's done right, order your tires from www.swmototire.com and have them shipped to their shop. They are in Tucson, and the shop is easy to get to from the interstate. (That the interstate is under construction is another matter!) Blaine starts changing tires at, I believe, 3:30pm (unless he finds time earlier) and does it first come, first served. You give him your wheel and he'll change the tire, put a new valve in it and balance it for around $20. He won't remove the wheel from the bike or replace the wheel on the bike, though. I had new rubber on mt K1100LT for under $250.

I live 35 miles west of scottsdale, been here since Jan 07. I've spent lots on maint there and I've always had really good results, both on my 2002 LTC and my 2006 K12S.

I didn't buy either here in AZ, but in MI where I came from.

I've been very pleased, my bikes run great all the time and I've never had to take one back for anything that was due to maintenance. I've had extensive warranty work done there (trans on the K12S) and also my-pay (LTC, trans seals, etc).

For comparo's, I ride 1k a week commuting (K12S), not counting pleasure miles (2-up) on the wkends. So I've got thousands into maintenance there for your statistics.

92k on the LTC, 26k on the K12S.

I don't have time to get to Ironhorse but I'd sure like to visit them sometime just for grins. They have given me second opinons on issues over the phone, not many folks will take the time/effort to do that.

ya know dongold, this might be OBE but I do have a nomar in my garage now.

I do my own oil and tire changes, leave the rest to the dealer.

your welcome to do the swmoto thingy and use the nomar if preferred.

What was your experience at Victory. I use them and I trust them. Just curious.
