BMWNA we need a dealership on Long Island

BMW is missing the boat on dealership location. We are in desperate need of a dealership on Long Island. There are 8 million people between Suffolk, Nassau, Brooklyn, and Queens Counties, with no dealership other than W57th Street in Manhattan. I'm looking for a suggestion on how to best get BMWNA's attention regarding this issue. I have spoken to countless people who agree with this position, so anyone with a suggestion please chime in.

Haven't there been something like 3 dealerships go bust in Long Island in the last 10 years?

How to become a dealer. It's on BMW's site: http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/etc/ut...p?t=faqs&idx=1

Two that I know of, Arthur got jambed up with the IRS, they seized his dealership, and sold off his inventory, and Joel in Huntington closed not sure why. Both these dealers were franchises and very small shops. The fact that BMW has a factory owned store on W57th Street is a ridiculous location. The rent is probably through the roof, and a test ride in Manhattan is a joke. I just think they need to explore a factory dealership on Long Island. I meet with guys from all over the island at the old OBI on Ocean parkway, and everyone has the same complaint. Someone suggested having an established BMW car dealer apply for a bike franchise, well see. Visited the link you provided, and see New York is not even on the list, but N.J. is. That's because everyone from NY winds up going to NJ for service to avoid Manhattan. It's crazy makes no sense.

Gold Coast Motorsports at 2070 Jericho Tpke, New Hyde Park, tel. 516-352-7474 which has been there for a while selling Ducati,Aprilia and several other brands apparently has gotten the BMW franchise recently. It's also listed on the BMW Corporate Page under the dealer locator.

Thanks guys, I'm aware of Gold Coast, but they just got certified this past summer, and have all of three BMW bikes on the showroom floor. It looks to be primarily a Ducati, Aprilla, Moto Guzzi shop.

Well, I've been there recently, they now have a BMW dealer sign on the front of the building and the left side of the showroom has been dedicated to a display of BMW bikes as well as BMW accessories and clothing.
