Two that I know of, Arthur got jambed up with the IRS, they seized his dealership, and sold off his inventory, and Joel in Huntington closed not sure why. Both these dealers were franchises and very small shops. The fact that BMW has a factory owned store on W57th Street is a ridiculous location. The rent is probably through the roof, and a test ride in Manhattan is a joke. I just think they need to explore a factory dealership on Long Island. I meet with guys from all over the island at the old OBI on Ocean parkway, and everyone has the same complaint. Someone suggested having an established BMW car dealer apply for a bike franchise, well see. Visited the link you provided, and see New York is not even on the list, but N.J. is. That's because everyone from NY winds up going to NJ for service to avoid Manhattan. It's crazy makes no sense.
