BMW Road side assistance and Victory BMW Chandler, Az Great job
Last Thursday going from Phoenix to San Diego via I-8 I stopped to change face shield at a remote overpass turn off. And the bike won't start, in fact the computer screen would come on and then go off in about 1 second. Opened things up looking for anything that might explain, found nothing. At first I thought it was the canbus system so decided to wait it out for awhile to see if it would reset.
After an hour still nothing. So I waited until 9:00 am to call the dealer and talked to the service adviser. Told him my story he asked some questions but nothing worked. He then took the time to consult with the mechanics and came back with the consensus that the battery was likely the problem.Reversed cells, no fix.
So the next call was to BMW Roadside Assitance. They had trouble finding a certified BMW mororcycle vender any where close. So they gave me the choice between getting picked up by a vender in San Diego or Phoenix. I choose Phoenix and then I waited for 4 hours for them to arrive.
BTW the bike is a 2007 K1200S with 16,000 miles. I have had zero problems with the bike.
So thanks to both guys for being so helpful and understanding.
