Gina's BMW Iowa city

I have enjoyed 35 years of riding and wrenching bikes and fourtunately never had to take a whole bike to the dealer except when doing mandatory dealer service to maintain factory warranty or service bulletin recalls. I recently aquired an 06 K1200R that had been down on it's left side and had damaged the water pump. I tried unsuccessfully to install a new shaft set. Reluctantly I decided to have the dealer install the shaft set in the housing because I did not have the special tools required to install shaft set correctly and I didn't want to ruin another 35.00 part. Gina's in Iowa city agreed to install shaft set and send housing to me for installation. I researched the fill and purge of coolant and decided I should let the dealer do this also rather than going to a bunch of hardware store's gathering the stuff needed to do the job. I talked to Julius the service manager the day they were going to send me the housing and explained my dilemma, Julius said bring it over we can help you. I took the K12R to Gina's that day expecting to drop it off and hope they would have it done for me in the next few weeks. When I asked Julius how soon I should expect to return for my bike, he said are you hungry? go get a bite for lunch it'll be ready when you get back. It was! They looked the rest of the bike over for me and gave me some insight on other small issues FREE OF CHARGE. I was so pleased I thought I should let people know how well they treat you at Gina's in Iowa city

Gina's is a pretty good dealership. I had two fairly major jobs done there while living in Iowa. Julius is a okay as well, but gruff and takes some getting used to. I'd recommend Gina's.
