Bad Experience With Ascycle.com

I attempted to order a tall light tint windshield for my K1200GT. They said that they had it in stock, so I ordered it online. The next evening I got an email saying that they are out of stock. They made sure I understood that it was not a backorder. It was going to take about 10 days to ship. Today I got a phone call from my credit card company asking if I approved a random charge from a retailer in New York. The charge was applied the same day that I used my card on ascycle.com. BTW, this is the only time that I have used that card in 3 month. Now I have to get a new credit card. I guess I can't say they did anything wrong other then mislead about stock, but I will not purchase anything from them again.....

If you're referring to Ascycles.com, being A&S Motorcycles in Sacramento I agree that they are a terrible dealer. I made the mistake of purchasing a new BMW from them and had terrible repair/in-warranty service. Instead of trying to fix problems they immediately look for ways to negate the issue. Their favorite line: "They all do that".
I suppose that's why the CHP prefers to have their bikes serviced 45 miles away instead of dealing with them.
And yes, they seem to have everything in stock on their website, but obviously that's a baiting tactic to get your order/credit card info. Just my .02 cents worth...

Have ordered several times from A&S and have never had a problem. Just this month I and a group of buds all took advantage of the one-day AS deal on BMW battery chargers at half price, everyone received their product with no problems and is quite happy. Do they always have everything in stock in their own warehouse or building?? Probably not, and I don't expect that from any online vendor for any kind of product--that's just the reality of how modern-day e-commerce works. If you need an item fast and want to make sure it is available and shipping, IMHO you should be calling and doing the order over the phone.

As for your credit card, sounds to me like since the last time you used your CC online your computer may have been hit with a keylogger or other malware. That's where a huge percentage of compromised email accounts, credit cards, etc. etc. are coming from--you've been hacked and your info is being collected as you type it on your computer, then relayed to whomever. Your post implies that AS somehow intentionally scammed your CC, or allowed same to happen, and you really don't have any proof of that.

No vested interest in AS, just a satisfied online customer. I'm all for ripping a vendor when they have truly screwed the pooch...errrrr.,,,customer.... but I believe such complaints should be lodged with facts and evidence, not innuendo.
IMHO, of course.

Best,

I have always had good service from them, never a problem. The credit card scam mentioned in this thread is definitely not A & S, but a problem with the computer of the user
