Bently Motorrad Kelowna - Service Experience

The story is: brothers final drive fails, oil everywhere. Takes it in to Bently BMW in Kelowna to have them do the rebuild. First they don't return calls when they say they will. Then its done late. Gets picked up and taken back to Vernon where, after cleaning, it is discovered that is scratched up. First they deny it, then admit to driving all over town for a day and a half trying to find the right presses to re-fit the bearings. This they say explains the scratches. The next morning we are off to Vancouver Island for a 4 day 2200 km ride and are unable to test the drive or deal with the scratching with the dealer. 100 kms into the trip I notice from behind that my brothers bike has a wobble in the rim. He says the brakes are pulsating a lot. After our trip he complains to them via phone and the answer they give him is it was that way before and that " they all do that". BULL SHIT. My brother is a machinist and does a run out check on the flange out of the dif. Finds it is bent plus sees where they used a rough cut pipe to press a bearing out and bent the flange. They concede to replacing the bent parts, but have not done it yet as he had to leave for a 3 week Texas bike trip before they had the parts in. He has the bike with him way the F&*% down in Texas with the F^&*ed up flange and what ever else the morons mangled. So so far they have lied about everything and then kind of admitted to it after he called B.S.. Story's not over yet. We'll see if they go good for it all. I don't trust 'em. I was hoping they would have gotten better after Robert left and ownership changed. But its the same old horse $hit.

In my 38 years of BMW ownership I have found the techs at Bentley to be the worst I've experienced.

I gave them 3 seperate opportunties to do a reasonable job and they failed each time.

If they used some of their good will with BMW Canada they should be a able to get a new rear drive for your brother. Good luck with them.

Sad yes....interesting not! Same over and over again.

Hi Lester! Had a feeling you wouldn't remain silent on that.... If you want to come plug a GS911 on your bike, you are more than welcome to it, if that keeps you out of there.

Interesting thread on ADVRider on them in the Canadian forum, needs a bit.

Only costed me $20.00 or so to "check them out"....enough to find out what I needed to know.

I am staying out of there....!

bmw canada

This is bad, real bad. I sometime wonder how these dealers get the BMW banner.
I have one similar in my area and the more people complain to BMW Canada, the more heat they get.
get a hold of Kelly Summers at BMW Canada, she will fix this problem

good luck
