My K1200GT needed its 18k valve check and had a couple pf warranty items to fix. Now, since I live in the FL panhandle and the Pensacola shop will not open till later this year, I called out to Lauren at the Baton Rouge dealership. We scheduled a Saturday about a week and a half out so they could get my warranty part delivered. Don't let Lauren's age fool you, that young lady knows her stuff! Last Friday morning I called to confirm parts had shown up and got there about 1530. They gave me the GTL demo for the night to get me to the hotel and told me some good places to eat. Clark gave me a quick course on the GTL's features and controls and off to the hotel I went. I got the GTL back to the shop at 10 for someone else's demo ride. The local club had shown up and there was good Cajun sausage and great conversation all morning. Folks started to clear out around lunch time and the GTL was back. I got to take it to lunch which I had at the "Thai Chilli". It was more Chinese than Thai but that is another story. I got back to the shop and Cory was finishing up my bike. I got to watch these guys work a bit and I tell ya what, they are always moving with a purpose! I was VERY impressed. When he was finished, Cory came out and ran down what he had done with my bike. The bill was settled and I was home that evening. I gotta say, if the Pensacola shop does not pan out, the ride out to Baton Rouge will be worth it!!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
