BMW Recalls 51,000 bikes

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...V617-4608P.pdf

Their fix is the same thing I had to do to my bike after a fuel leak during a trip to Oregon. I machined a reinforcing ring and installed it over the flange and replaced the nylon fitting with a metal one.

I asked about it from a dealer - I uses - BMW Corp. will not let dealers / and owners know until Feb. And by early March / April dealers might have replacement parts - bottom lines was April to get work done

Yep. I just dropped my bike at the dealer to get it running. (mysteriously died with no codes) and they confirmed your info. No official notification, no parts available yet.
