Brake Failure light on/ 07 K1200R

Hello All, Long time since I've been on here but rest assured still enjoying the K1200R. Last month I had first service ever at 38K all good except needed new clutch, yeah that hit pocket book good. So for past week bike has gone over the 40K mark and just noticed that my Brake failure light remains lit. Normally this goes off after you start rolling. I have changed my rear pads at 35K and fronts are still original ( geeze can you believe that and I pull hard on those binders) any way just checking if anyones had this. My brakes still work good and I can still see pad in calipers. I did pull off front and rear for tyre change as I do that in house. Have'nt called dealer yet as I'm still recovering from service and new clutch. Well if anyones had this issue please let me know your remedy, much appreciated. This is the only bike I have kept longer than 3 years. It's my keeper.

I fixed mine a few month ago, it took about 3 hours.I found the how to do it posting on I-bmw forums. the posting was in the slant 4 bikes , technical Q&A , stickies.Although I didn't have a GS 9 11Code reader to find out what the fault was, I figured it was probably the brushes on the motor sticking since many people have been having this problem. the brakes work fine for a few months and then I got the brake failure light again. The second time I fixed it , it only took about an hour, because when I put it back together I had drilled and tapped the pump housing and bolted to the motor to the pump instead of peening over the aluminum tabs.
There is also info on Module masters , a company than fix it with a warranty.

Thanks for that info. I will go into other forums and see how this all gets done. Brakes work just fine just mental trip when playing in twisties and that light is on and corner is coming up. Thank you.

Brake Failure light on my K1200S

I face this same problem too, the brakes work just fine while riding ....but the light stays on forever !!! I was thinking maybe its a fault with the ABS sensor but will try out as advised above by Mohler...check out the brake pads and fluid supply lines and will post my learnings here.
