Extended fuel strip sensor warranty

Just received my letter from BMW N.A. , that the fuel strip sensor warranty has been extended , for a total of twelve years. Good news since my strip stopped functioning about a month ago. The letter states that if you've had to replace it , contact your dealer and be reimbursed for repairs.

Me too - I wonder if they've actually got a reliable fix or just a replacement thatwill go bad shortly after the install.

Fuel strip

Just had mine done and the dealer told me the coating of the part has been changed to rectify the problem. Richard

That will be great if it can handle American fuel, I've been living life 100 miles at a time since I got it.
