2006 K1200R cold starting

Hi, I live in the New England area and a new K12R owner. I am not able to start the bike in cold weather, the battery is brand new. Any tips are appreciated.

A new battery may still need an initial charge. I know my 08 is getting sluggish this time of year so I'll probably replace it in the spring. With the research I've done so far an initial charge is required for an AGM battery.

Thanks. When I meant a "new battery", its been on it for atleast a couple of months. Chances are it could have drained below optimal charge needed to fire up? The headlight and controls are still working.
