Selling Bike due to tickets

Thats it... Bike is going. I've had it with my restless wrist! [whats the parallel to heavy foot?]

Sorry, newbie here. I've had my 2006 k1200r for a year now and I've got 2 tickets on it, and let off the hook once. This bike is too fucking fast! 65 feels like 40 and it just doesnt want to cruise. It asks to be opened up more and more. I either need a cruiser, or nothing. But the K12 NEEDS to go.

I got another ticket today on my way home from work doing 85 mph.

Other than that, I've really enjoyed browsing your forums and wish I could complete my wishlist for my bike. Seems like a great group of people here. I'm going to go break something now.

Too Fast

I recently did 150 on the way to work and had the same thought. Then I realized I just need to control myself and be cool. I have done ok so far..... I did start looking at something else but the K12 is a great bike. I think it will be OK.

Its way too easy to do. But thats why we love our bikes lol. Maybe I'll learn my lesson and wont get the right price for it and keep her. Just took my girlfriend out on it for 200 miles on the back roads and had a blast. The bike is amazing, and yea.. Shes against me getting rid of it.

I certainly understand the difficulty in keeping a these K bikes under control and had a period of time - about 15 months - where I was stopped four times for speeding. I was fortunate enough to be let off the hook each time but don't want to push my luck so I try hard to stay within the limits. In short, you have to choose where you drop the hammer and simply match the speed of those around you.

That being said, it seems like you've already made up your mind so all I can do is wish you well with whatever bike, if any, you end up riding.

Ride safe.

Regards,
Randy

Garage
Bought a 02 K1200RS two weeks ago. Just started riding again 4 years ago. I was riding a Honda V65 Magna. Guess I only thought I knew what a street bike handles like. Holy crap what a machine. Thank god it has a cruise control. Fun and weird first couple of times.
