Replacement keys

wondering how much it cost to get replacement key made. only have one at this time
any ideas?

You order them at the dealer. They are smart keys your bike reads before it will start. I don't think they are cheap.

I ordered a key for my K13GT at the dealer. I was surprised that it was only $84.00

2009 K1300 GT
1984 Kawasaki ZX750-E1 Turbo
1990 Kawasaki ZX600R
2005 R1200 RT - gone
2008 Honda CBR1000 RR - gone
2004 Honda CBR600RR - gone

Somehow I don't think 84 dollars for a key is cheap.

To me it is. The key for my Carrera was $400..

2009 K1300 GT
1984 Kawasaki ZX750-E1 Turbo
1990 Kawasaki ZX600R
2005 R1200 RT - gone

The stealership here in New Zealand wants $320 for a key... is there any way to get a spare key from the people you ordered yours?

Avoiding speeding tickets for 30 years...

My spare from the US dealer cost something like $90 USD. They are ordered by VIN. I had to show my ID and the registration to prove I owned the bike. Maybe try a different dealer or see if a US place like sierra bmw can help you.

I paid $160 in NZ for a replacement key from Experience BMW for my 2006 K1200GT
