2007 K1200R Sport Tail light power.

Hello again everyone! =)

I searched for this info in the forum but I didn't find something close to what I was looking for, so I decided to make a post and request assistance in the matter.

Here we go!~

I currently own a 2007 K1200R Sport I love the bike and I would like to install an aftermarket security device in it because I honestly cannot tell if it has the BMW one active or not. I decided to go with the Scorpio SR i900r. So I purchased it. I contacted Customer service to request info on a mounting bracket for my bike...

Hi, I do not see a 2007 K1200R Sport Model listed here. Do you offer an OEM kit for this BMW Model?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

We have not yet seen the K1200R to know whether any of our current kits will work.

All of our alarm systems come with a universal connector harness as well that will work great for your BMW. There will be no wire cutting necessary with our universal harness. The harness comes with t-taps to tap in to your license plate light/tail light and turn signals. One wire will go straight to your battery positive and another will go to a wire ground or the negative terminal on the battery. It is a very easy installation even without a “plug and play” connector.

Detailed photos of the connectors that the turn signals and tail light wires plug in to, clearly showing wire positions, will help us determine whether any of our kits here will work for you before you place the order if you would like. We may also be able to build a custom connector for you if the connectors are readily available.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you!

I'm not that tech savy but if you provide me detailed instructions on what exactly you guys need in the photographs I'll be more than happy to obtain them and send them to you.

Hello again,

Thank you for getting back to us about your K1200R.

What we need to understand is the following.

1.What the tail light/rear lighting connector looks like.
2. Wire Position for tail light connector
3. What function each wire has
4. Voltage output of each wire on connector.
And that brings me to my current situation... I sadly do not know much about these things and so I turn to you guys to see if you could help me out and guide me in figuring this out... Do I have to open up the red light cover to get to the wires? Or do I have to get to it another way?

Please help!
