K1200R Air intake missing

I was poking around my bike and part 3 from this diagram: https://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts...18970sch720874

is missing. What are the repercussions of this being missing?

Some people take them off to get more induction noise.
The intakes are tuned air paths and are designed to get air in smoothly and quietly.
Removing that part makes it louder.
How much do you lose? I don't know. You will get different sound and engine response but you would have to try it with and without to work out which you prefer.
