Replacement grips

Ok, so I know I’m probably just being paranoid and this might be a dumb question but... do I need to buy special grips for my 06’ K1200R with factory heated grips? Or can I use anything that fits?

I need to replace the grips on my 03 KRS too. How is the heat transfer through the grip puppies? Thanks.

I use Grip Buddies, probably the same thing, and they work fine. I start on high to warm things up, and then I drop to low for comfort.

They heat up evenly through out the grips.

I also have the Ďgrip puppiesí which I like but they increase the size of the grip substantially. If you have smaller hands or like the feel of the standard grip Iíd be cautious about the grip puppies.

Grip puppies are good. They're thickish and enlarge the grip. The heat still comes thru ok and I usually turn it to 1 when hot enough.
Pussy grips are slightly thinner. Less breadth of the grip and the heat comes thru easy too.

Grip puppies will last longer unless they split. My current pair has split at the end but I just trimmed the end off and left them there.
