    Space Viking: I am from White plains. Grew up there from 1947 to 1954 when i graduated the old WP HS. Ia m now back in Scarsdale and New Rochelle, the lat 40 plus years, the interim wa for college in Boston and working in NYCF until raising kids. I am currently riding a 2009 k1300GT.

    What era White plains were you?

    Don't mess with the clutch parts unless they are 1300 (Black Basket). Later Transmissions are nice but the older stuff is fine.

    Thanks for the guidance on the shock install and the coming airbox change. I will check out the industrial supply shops first since the dealer up here wants about 7 bucks per clamp. As for the labelling I usually do that when I am dealing with anything that has more than 3 items haha. I got the airbox from a guy parting out a low mileage bike. I was debating whether I should grab the transmission and clutch assembly just in case. What are your thoughts on this ?

    Didn't want to post this out there, but...I rode BMW's for over 200K miles, now on a 2016 FJR. No regrets, most amazing bike. I also owned a K13GT. The FJR matches up, even weighs the same. But not the costly BMW maintenance. Check out two FJR FB pages....
