Florian I did that same trip and ended up staying in Oban overnight....great little town with a wonderful distillery. Anyhow, I would recommend Stirling if you get a chance.

invite to glencoe

took a ride up through loch lomond, through glencoe and ended up in oban at the weekend when strangely enough the weather in scotland was lovely . if anyone in britain or further affield is looking for one of the best bike rides ever then you should head here. even on a cloudy day the scenery is spectacular ! there are plenty of biker friendly places to stop including the drovers inn ( best pub in scotland since 1705) in ardlui and the green welly in tyndrum. the bendy roads and long straights make this bike ride a great experience especially in the mountains around glencoe. some of the roads are not for the faint hearted and you do need to watch out for the unmarked police bikes who may stop you for a friendly word ! sorry no photos had a problem with my camera will upload some next time i am up. this drive can be seen on youtube if you would like a taster
