Cool.

Can you tell me more about the before/after performance? I am finding that with the stock system, there seems to be two very distinctive power bands - One for the 1.5k to 6k and the other for the 7.5k to 9.5k... Most of the everyday riding is done in the first powerband, but occassionally, there is the desire to connect the two and get moving quickly. Just curious if the Akrapovic/Filters settles this out...

...Sure looks better than any of the other systems...

That Z-Tech with the stubby pipe just does not fit with the "extension" that this bike gives...

sportrider Personally, I don't care for the shorty mufflers, although I'm sure they perform well...seems that's the trend nowadays, but the S is long and lean and I think the longer pipe looks better...jmo Kinda like a super model that's long and lean and then has short, fat, stubby little legs...just something wrong with that picture.

As much as I love seat of the pants performance, the bike's got to look good too.

This is a perfect picture. Thanks, Ken - I really appreciate this one!
Looks like the pipe end will pop out just behind and under the pannier bags if my imagination does any justice.

Again, thank you SOOOOOOO much for all of your hard work on this one.

BTW - How much would you charge for install if I rode down from Sac-Town?

as to feedback, it is a nice lightweight (very lightweight) exhaust. since the can is shorter, it is fairly loud (similar to the laser powercup race muffler) but it does perform well. look for the dyno charts posted elsewhere on this site.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up on the magazine article.

I heard that they no loger make the Laser Powercup race muffer anymore... The reason I heard was because they are no longer doing the Powercup races.

Have you or anybody else matched up this muffler with the pannier bags? I am curious about how this looks and reacts with the bags (i.e.: Does it melt them??) :wtf

I have had GREAT luck with Z-Tech exhaust on my K12GT and I am looking into doing the same for the S, but I don't like how the full system has the pipe being 200 mm (7.87") shorter than the slip-on version. I am concerned about heat on the panniers, looks, sound, etc. Just wondering if anybody has got any feedback.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!!
