Hi guys,

I have a 98 K1200rs and I need a front paddock stand.

Any advice on what to buy and on what NOT TO BUY would be a great hep....cheers. :D

I got mine off this Ebay trader:

I don't have a lot to do with different bike makes, but it came with 'under fork adapters' I think you're supposed to fit under each fork leg. I didn't like this idea, so I fiddled about getting the height right and push a steel bar straight through the eyes at each end of the stand to replace the front wheel spindle. I'm now confident leaving the bike without a front wheel for days when servicing and- it's not going to move anywhere.

If I put my '97 on the lift, I actually turn the stand around and bolt it to the lift table so the area below the forks is uncluttered. I think it may be Chinese, but the price is good and it worked for me.

I found a scissor transmission jack cheap on Ebay (Chinese) and that's been really useful.

Used a Pit Bull stand for the following bikes.....all with great success:

2001 Triumph Speed Triple
1999 Ducati 996
2003 K1200rs

I'd like to know how you use your front stand in conjunction with the centerstand. I've been reluctant to use my Pit Bull without some type of rear stand as I've done in the past with other bikes. I attempted it once and as I was raising the front the bike became unstable.
