Okay here it goes. I have a 1995 K75 that will not run right. It starts and runs, but it runs rough. It seems to me that I had a fuel injector not working so I bought three remanufactured injectors from the internet. I replaced them and it seemed to be perfect. when I test drove it it ran better then it has in years. I got it out the next day and its back to not running. I took the lock clips off the injectors and took off. When I unplug number three there is no change. I swapped number one and number three and the problem followed the injector. I changed ou the good injectors from before and it still wont run right. I put a fuel pressure tester on it today and it bounces between 35 and 40 while idling. Right after I shut it of it goes to zero within a second or two. Can anyone help me with this I just cant figure it out.

Hi there, just a thought, are you sure no.3 coil is working properly? maybe a intermittent dud lead?

Well I thought of that and I switched all the coils around and the problem tayed right where it was. I also put a new set of wires on it with no change. And lastley I used a noid light on the connectors and they all pulse.

Could The Fuel Pressure Regulator be the culprit? I have a k100rt, but I'm sure the fuel pressure should'nt drop off that quickly? Have a feeling I read somewhere that the 75 keeps fuel pressure? Andy.

The only thing I can find in my Clymer manual is that is needs 36psi. it says nothing about holding pressure but that is my thoughts. Does any one know for sure how the regulator is supposed to work?

The fuel pressure should hold for at least twenty minutes.

However, the fact that pulling the injector lead doesn't change anything makes me believe that the wires running to that connecter have broken. Remove it again and probe the leads with an ohmmeter. You should get a reading of 5.4 ohms. If this checks OK, then that injector may have failed. The best way to check this is to remove the fuel rail complete with injectors and place a piece of cardboard so as to catch any fuel. Disconnect the hot leads from the coil and crank the motor with the starter. The injectors should spray a fine mist on the cardboard. Have a fire extinguisher nearby-just in case.
