Just replaced worn front pads on my 06 GT.

I have done this before without issue. This time, however, when i pushed the pistons back to accommodate the new pads, the bike started dripping brake fluid from underneath the fairing. Maybe about 10cc of fluid in total. Drip, drip, drip...

Perhaps no excess volume existed in the system, so the excess brake fluid displaced by the new pads was burped overboard (the handlebar reservoir was pretty full)? Is that a design feature? Is gently pushing the pads in on an ABS system a no-no?

Brakes seem to work 100% now, dripping stopped, no warning lights on the dash.

Any guesses?

82,000 km later, some hidden parts of the K are still mysterious....
