Well done Dr. Mike, the "BMW surgeon"
Thanks, I did note one major screw-up on my part. When I put in the retaining pins on the brake pads, I didn't snug up the left side or put in the retaining clips on either side. Like Homer Simpson says, "Doh!" After I got back from the ride I started to put the clips in and notices that the pin on the left calliper had decided to part company with me and the bike. New pins and retaining hardware (for both callipers) on order from Munich Motorcycles on your side of the country, Eric. Hopefully, Express Post will deliver by Friday.Well done Dr. Mike, the "BMW surgeon"
I used that argument with my Bride when I purchased the Beemer. I also used the argument that my carpaI tunnel syndrome really gave me a fit riding the Sportster (No lie, it did!) and the BMS was so mush smoother that she would like riding again. So I have one issue with someday having to do this to my GT. You see, one of the arguments I used to convince the wife that I should change up motorcycles was that now I was getting older ABS on a bike would sure be nice. To take it off...........
Is oem all steel braid? If so what in the abs component was at play? Thanks, I did note one major screw-up on my part. I have to say, the feel of the brakes is really good. I can sense a little more pressure is needed but I can feel brakes "bite" where before I didn't really have much feel.
That's what the dishwasher is for....At least she didn't complain yesterday when I was washing all the body parts in the bathtub. (I did wait till she went shopping to wash the bellypan)
Can tell you what it tastes like. (I didn't want to spoil my beer.Brown ferrous wheel
Green cupric stanley
Moisture imbued sludge.
Does it taste metallic?
Id love to see the abs pump innerds.
J'ai terminé! (I’m finished!). New brake hardware is installed. The bike has been washed inside the Tupperware and out. Everything has been waxed and polished and reassembled. Woohoo! I’m back to riding. Thanks, I did note one major screw-up on my part. When I put in the retaining pins on the brake pads, I didn't snug up the left side or put in the retaining clips on either side.
