My K1300s 2013 has an alarm

I have a key fob to operate it can anyone explain the operation ? I'm guessing this the alarm module

Yes this is a picture I took when replacing the batteries on my K1300S Motorsport Edition.

Hi,
I've replace the batteries in the remote and the alarm, red light blinks when button pressed yet still won't activate the alarm. Anything I should look for

Run bike, switch off, remove key and dismount, set alarm.
Nothing happens?
Mines buried in snow or I'd check. I can't recall but think you hold the button till the turn signals flash.

Did as you suggested, nothing no flash from indicators, only red light on remote, otherwise no crash ,bang ,wallop Nada, Fini Zilch !!!

under the seat disconnect the hardest from the alarm system. Wait a few minutes then reconnect it and then follow the reactivation procedures in the information that I posted. If it doesn't reactivate then you have a problem with the unit itself.

These cycles needed some serious work on self initialization. It can sense a burned out light bulb, but does not recognize installation of some factory accessories. But, it is good job security for service techs.

Went to BMW. Technician had a play with the remote and suspects the remote could be faulty as not flashing as it should. So now to get booked in. Fingers crossed thats all it is.
