Can this be true? No.. ;)

You will probably find out that that the bike is really in Canada or Europe and you need to use a "safe" escrow service that he knows about. Notice he has zero feedback and is not a registered user.

This spells SCAM from 100 miles away...

Too good to be true, it is. :)

Notice in the first pic - _NO_ MotoLights. In all the others - MotoLights with strap mounts.... Now- could be it's a picture from when it was new vs later pics. He doens't mention the Motolights though.

Also, I agree with Scot - we don't have any palm trees here in Cincinnati.

If you wish, you can contact him and I'd be happy to check out the bike for you - but I suspect it's not here in town - especialyl given the looks of the houses, etc....

p.s. Just sent a feeler email to him - will post his response...

Check his "other items for sale" He has a large number of rediculously priced bikes that cover all lines. Plus - he has run this same picture previously. I have seem it pop up in several -possible scam scenarios.

Just ignore it. It is too good to be true.
If he gives you a reply - please let us know.

Yep, I followed up on and reported on one of these recently. The guy is in another country but his aunt works for some airline so he can get free shipping...He needs quick cash so he'll sell it cheap. He knows you'll want to inspect it so he'll suggest an escrow company. If you want to use another one he'll persist that he already has his account set up with the one of his choice. Once you agree on a price, he'll send you an e-mail and just to be nice he'll include a link to his account in the escrow company. However, your money will actually be routed directly to an offshore account that for some reason even the FBI can't find....I toyed with one of these guys leading him on for days. He persisted in exchanging e-mails even after E-bay took down his ad.

It's 10:04 PM CST, the e-bay post has been removed. It just happened in the last few minutes, I checked it when I began to read this thread.

Reply from Scammer

So here's the reply I got (wonder if he knows his auction has been removed):
==================================
Hello,

I have received your email regarding my bike on eBay. First of all I want to
tell you I am located in London, UK and so is the bike. Because of my job I
have to move all the time. I work for Lufthansa Air Cargo. This is a good
thing for you because I can ship it for free. I am the only owner of it and
I have a clean title. I will send it along with the bike. The bike has no
electrical or mechanical problem. It has never been raced or abused. The
price I hope to obtain is $3,500. About payment method I suggest to use eBay
as a third party to hold the payment until you receive the bike and inspect
it. This way we are both protected. Let me know if you are interested and I
will provide you all the details. If you have any other questions feel free
to ask and I will try to answer ASAP.

Regards,
Michael Walter
