clutch problems k1200gt 2008
Hi all
my K1200GT clutch has started giving trouble, I am getting drag in 1st gear and problems engaging neutral. The clutch lever feels normal and the biting point normal, I think that the plates arent releasing for some reason so i need to get in to have a look.
My main questions are - - - -
(1) how do i find the position of the crankshaft TDC so i can insert special tool/pin is there a timing mark on the crankshaft?....
(2) In order to find TDC how do i turn the engine? I thought by turning the rear wheel but can it be done without removing the spark plugs?
(3) My bike has done 29,000 miles, ....would it be wise to do the timing chain and anything else at this stage, despite sounding good and no rattles?
I'd greatly appreciate any advise.

Thanks for that, it seems very feesable, but wont know till I get in ...... very expensive for a clutch assembly from bmw though ..... according to my cd manual I also need a crankshaft locating pin (£50) but the manual doesnt say how to get the engine to TDC without taking the cam cover off!!!! Any help please?
