Bill,

Nice to see you got out yesterday - I wish I could have joined you because now they're calling for rain on Sunday.

Wish I knew.....

Hey Bill,

I took the bike to Wurtsboro yesterday to do some soaring. Wish I knew you were so close (on 52), I would have invited you to join me for a ride!

Nice pix!

Flyboy,

Where is the soaring site located??? I was looking to get back into soaring, but haven't found anywhere on the East Coast yet. (Been working, haven't really tried...). But would be very interested in the location. I live near the CT/MASS/RI border, and that wouldn't be too bad of a day ride for some fun.

Soaring Locations

Best bet is go to the SSA web site...they have an interactive map of location around the country.

N82 in Wurtsboro, NY is where I fly. Just north of Middletown NY off of Rt 17..Middletown Exit 3 off of RT84 also has a soring location. I prefer Wurtsboro as it is located right besides a ridge which offers ridge soaring if thermals are hard to find.

Stow VT also offers soaring, but their owner is fussy about solo flights?????
