It's not too hard. Just getting my fat hand in there to remove and replace the oil filter is the hardest part. All I did was remove that 1 screw on the fairing lower by the sidestand and pulled back gently. The filter was on there pretty doggone tight, too, but my Wally World pliers oil filter wrench finally got 'er loose.

The little tube from the reservoir is still draining as I type this. I think I need one of those bilge pumps thingies.

Now, the question I have is what is the torque supposed to be on the drain plug? I torqued it to 22N-m. Too much? Not enough?

RepROM states:

Filter to engine- 11 nm

Drain Plug: 28 nm

I bought the bilge pump thing- it was well worth the money. Sucks the ENTIRE tank dry in 15 seconds...

By the way, there was only ONE place in the RepROM that states the proper way to use the dipstick on the cap is to NOT screw the cap on when checking- just sit it on top and view the mark.

Happy draining.
