I'm thinking about getting a camera system for my bike. I'm trying to decide between a single cam or dual cam system. Also, I'm leaning toward a bike-mounted system rather than a helmet-mounted system.

Do you guys actually mount the DVR portion of the system with the viewing screen on or near the handlebars? If so, why?

What added benefit/protection do you get from a rear-facing camera?

Check out the Innovv K2 system. The DVR mounts under the seat and is accessed via an app.

Where do you snag the power from for the dual camera system .. if mounted under the seat?
From the battery. The installation has wire long enough for the power and the trigger can come from any 12V source.

There are some cheap 2 camera motorcycle systems on Amazon now - thinking of trying one myself.

Always have one in my Mini.

For fixing accessories to the bike I always use a Fusebloc:

Here's on on my ZX 14:

Takes up to 6 accessories and you have a choice of permanency on or ignition on.

Save on the usual birds nest of wires too. Would work well with a camera ensuring it comes on automatically and does not stay on when you get off.
