Attempting to upgrade the toasted 32A alternator on my 1990 K75S to the later 50A unit and have a few "issues". According to the OEM microfiche the changeover is 7/93 and I'm trying to figure out exactly what parts I need to do the job. It also appears that my coolant tank may not mount correctly either due to the new unit being longer.

Do I need all the driving parts from the 50A unit like the driving dog, housing, etc ? I can't seem to find a coolant resevior that looks any different than what I have as well. Help !!!!
