Guys,

I ride solo with a small top case. Should I set 1+luggage or leave just 1up as I normally do?

Thanks in advance.

i think alot has to do with your weight.
If you are an average weight and the baggage is empty, leave as is.
For me @ 280 #, I use 2 up and "comfort".

I 've never experienced a more comfortable, stable, ride.

At a svelte 215 lbs, I normally ride 1 + baggage alternating between comfort and normal. Sometimes comfort can get a little too soft, but it is great on the long straights.

My weight is 85 kg( 200 lbs ?) + gear + helmet + 5-7 kg of the case.
I do NORMAL 1up and it is fantastic. But if it is wrong setting - will it shorten the shock absorber/suspension life?

I'm 220 and recently changed from 1up to 1+Luggage and feel a huge difference in the bike.
No matter which setting I used between Comfort-Normal-Sport with 1up the bike just felt like it wallowed too much.

With the 1+Luggage it's a much better handling bike.

Solo, I ride in 1-Up w/ Luggage.
2-Up, I ride in 2-Up w/ Luggage.

When SuperSlabbing it = Comfort Mode
In the city = Normal Mode
In the twisties, or on-ramps and off-ramps = Sport Mode!

Anyone that can't feel the difference between each mode needs to get their bike checked, or needs a lesson on suspension discernment. :)
