I lost a nut on one of the downpipes and need to replace it. I'm having trouble finding the right size and thread pitch. Does anybody know the size and pitch for the exhaust studs? Seems like it should be M7. The 1.00 pitch threads on, but won't torque down. Thanks.

That is because it is M8. Also it is originally a copper nut but now they are copper plated self locking nuts.

Huh...that info must be for a different bike. Maybe the K1200RS? For the K1200S, it's definitely an M7. That is confirmed by following the MAX BMW link you provided. I bought a metric pitch gauge this morning and confirmed the thread pitch is 1.00. The hardware I bought must have been mislabeled. Thanks for the link, though. The last thing I want to do is mess up the threads on those studs!
