I have an FJR and love it. It is getting some miles on it and the only bike I would consider other than another FJR is the GT. Anybody spent any time on both bikes? I have not been able to ride a GT yet and would like to know how it compares comfort, power, handling, etc. I'm not sure the GT is $8000 more bike and would like some input.

Thanks

A search wouldn't find it since it is a three letter search string. With the exception of just a few, the search needs a 4 letter word.

How's that CCR patch growing back?

All I can do is speak from the experiences I had riding with an FJR'er on 2 separtate occassions. Frankly, I don't see how these two bikes compare. Especially from the "sport" aspect of sport-touring. I think the FJR compares much more closely to BMW's R1200RT in a lot of ways.

But it's really up to you. The pricetag may be what keeps you, and a lot of people away from the GT. And who can argue with that? I probably should have my freakin' head examined! :)

I haven't ridden a FJR.

But I did have an RT (two actually). Great bikes.

But to compare them with a Jap multi like that?????????????????????????????????????????

Well certainly not re the motor or the way it drives. Or the way it handles.

Help me out here......sounds like chalk and cheese to me
