Nice pics! That sure is great looking countryside.
Nice pics, except for that one at 37000 feet of all the Kiwis migrating to Oz.
raising the IQ of both countries

me thinks
all those corners and not one "No Passing Zone/Double Yellow Line"

looking like motorcycle Paradise!
There were some

Not really any need, virtually no traffic. On a 120km (75mi) section saw less than 20 cars and 4 of those were parked up.

My son spent 6 months in NZ and said it was fantastic. I will visit NZ in the next couple of years... but unfortunately "she who must be obeyed" no longer likes pillion so it will have to be a four (or more) wheeled tour.

I can only say that your story board has strengthened my resolve to hire a bike for a couple of days when I am in NZ.

Excellent photos.
I don't think I could be more JEALOUS!!!!!

Bill, Sure you could be. Try this one on for size... Taken from Grimsel Pass looking toward Furka Pass. The head of the Rhone river is the Rhone Glacier in the upper left.

The trip continues- another week another 3 day ride

Can't match the Alps but these are still fun

and so was this

On the way home
The Lindis Pass road was closed by these guys making an advert

but they relented and let us through

This is the subject of the ad. For the British market they apparently

And this is how they film it, cameras front and back

This is the section of road they are filming on

The 2 guys in Orange are admiring my bike before respectfully
asking me to p*ss off from their film set so they could start filming.

Thankfully I had removed my filming rig before this

My husband and I did this on bicycles about 20 years ago. I'd have to do a lot of training to do it again now. :)
