The BMW K1200RS is a 1171cc, four-stroke, horizontally mounted (for easy maintenance) inline four cylinder engine. Producing 130 hp and 85 lb-ft of torque. The engine is rubber mounted in a die cast aluminum frame to increase rigidity while isolating engine vibrations. It is adjustable for the rider including: handlebars, pegs, windscreen (two positions), seat (two heights). The adjustability and lack of vibration make this fun to ride whether quickly down a mountain road or an all-day tour. Suspension is by BMW Telelever in front to separate steering from damping for improved comfort, lack of brake dive and lower weight. A BMW Paralever shaft drive is in the rear for low maintenance and lack of torque effect when accelerating.
