Some of you already know that on some K1200R bikes the front brake line rubs against the instrument cluster and could cause the scratching of the lens. TSB 34 01 06 deals with replacing the front brake line with a shorter one and also replacing a brake line fitting.

These are taken care of under warranty if you have the problem. the problem manifests when handlebar is turned to the left.

If your lens has suffered from serious scratches due to the brake line rubbing on it, it will be replaced under warranty.

My bike has this problem and I will have it taken care of at the next service.

Thanks for the info, Raffy.

I had my line rub a dull spot in the face when I first got it. Bummed me out a bit, but wasn't enough of a problem for to cause a stink. Glad someone did.
