It could conceivably be done in a day, provided everything were to fall into place. This doesn't count the curing time for the silicone sealant dabs on the valve cover gasket, which I just let cure overnight.

If this is your first time ever fiddling with the K's valves, then it's probably going to take longer than that to get the job done. If the P/O has no data to give you (current tappet thicknesses), then count on it to take longer. There's other things that might come into play, but I won't mention those at this time.

Don't forget you will probably have to buy some shims, so figure their procurement into the mix.
